The Ensoniq VFX Mailing List

The VFX list is a forum for discusson of music production based on the Ensoniq VFX/VFXsd/SD-1 synthesizers. Discussions include product revisions, hardware and O.S. problems, and techinques for sequencing, patch programming, and performance.

Discussions of other Ensoniq products, especially those somewhat related to the VFX voice archetecture such as the SQ-1 and KS-32, are welcome as well; but the discussion mainly centers around the VFX family. Ensoniq sampler users should note that there is another mailing list especially for users, owners, and others interested in Ensoniq's line of samplers: the EPS (a.k.a. EPS Classic), EPS-16+, ASR-10, TS series, and friends. To subscribe, send mail to <eps-request@oak.oakland.edu>.

Subscription add/remove requests for the VFX list and other administriva should be sent to <vfx-request@mail.pro-ns.net> . Mail to be broadcast to the list should be sent to <vfx@mail.pro-ns.net>. The mailing list is maintained by the software package Majordomo. To subscribe, send a message with the subject "none" (the subject line is ignored by majordomo), and a single line (in the BODY of the message) saying "subscribe", to . To remove yourself from the list, send the same message, but use the word "unsubscribe" in place of "subscribe". To avoid spam messages, the VFX list has become picky about where messages come from; to send to the list, you must be on the list. If you have two or more email addresses, you can only post messages to the list that are from the address you subscribed with. Please keep this in mind when changing accounts; update your subscription, instead of relying on .forward files.
