The Transoniq Hacker

The Transoniq Hacker was an independent newsletter for owners of Ensoniq equipment. Unlike most vendor-sponsored newsletters that are little more than thinly disguised promotional literature, the Hacker was quite independent from Ensoniq. Original patches for the VFX and SQ series synthesizers were published in nearly every issue, and the articles were packed with practical information to help you get the most out of your Ensoniq gear.

The Transoniq Hacker used to be at http://www.teleport.com/~trnsoniq/, and reachable via email to <interface@transoniq.com>. In my opinion, the Hacker was a very good newsletter, and well worth the subscription price of US$23/year.

FYI, their old mailing address was:

			Transoniq Hacker
			1402 SW Upland Dr.
			Portland, OR 97221

Gary Flanagan gives an overview of the events that caused the demise of the Transoniq Hacker at http://www.angelfire.com/music/creon/th.htm. The death of the newsletter is a loss to all of Ensoniq's past and future customers.

Jeff Jetton has a small archive of tidbits from the Transoniq Hacker available at http://www.mindspring.com/~jetton/hacker.
